After successfully running the Rupantor ICT Lab for over two and a half years, we embarked on an exciting journey to elevate the impact of our work by launching Version 2.0 of the ICT Lab in January 2024. This upgrade marks a significant step forward in our efforts to empower the youth of Madaripur with essential digital skills, preparing them for a future driven by technology.
Version 2.0 introduces several key enhancements to improve both the learning experience and outcomes for our students. One of the highlights is the newly renovated lab, offering a more conducive environment for learning, complete with better seating arrangements, enhanced facilities, and modern aesthetics. We also prioritized the comfort of our students and instructors by upgrading the toilet and drinking facilities, ensuring a better learning atmosphere.
Another major improvement in this version is the revised course curriculum. We’ve expanded the scope of our offerings, extending the semester duration to four months to allow for deeper learning and mastery of digital skills. The curriculum is aligned with industry needs, ensuring that our students are not only gaining theoretical knowledge but are also job-ready by the time they complete the course.

In Version 2.0, we’ve increased the number of batches, enabling more students to enroll in different programs, including Basic Computing, Graphic Design, and English Speaking. We’ve also introduced weekly 6-8 hour practice sessions, providing students with additional time to hone their skills through hands-on practice.
Perhaps one of the most exciting developments is the launch of our internship program for lab graduates. By partnering with local companies and organizations, we are now able to offer practical job placements to our students, bridging the gap between education and employment.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, Algorithm Generation Limited for supporting us in set-up the cable management system, Sanabil Foundation for their generous financial support, and Madaripur Municipality for providing the necessary assistance to make this vision a reality. With their continued partnership, the transformation of the Rupantor ICT Lab into one of the finest digital learning centers in Madaripur was possible. Our co-founder, Nazmul Islam, worked as the visual architect of version 2.0. Without the ground-level support of ACT Foundation’s executive board members, Mahin and Sajib, finishing version 2.0 tasks would not have been possible.
With these new changes, we are confident that Version 2.0 of Rupantor ICT Lab will further our mission of empowering marginalized youth, equipping them with the skills and opportunities they need to build a brighter future. Stay tuned as we continue to expand our efforts to bring digital inclusion to the heart of our community.
